Empowering Youth Through Skill Development: DDU-GKY Rajasthan EOI 2.0 Project
Background:-
With rising youth unemployment and skill gaps hindering economic progress, the Government of India launched the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). The aim? To empower rural youth with industry-relevant skills that pave the way for sustainable employment.
In line with this mission, the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) has released the Expression of Interest (EOI) 2.0 under DDU-GKY, inviting Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) to participate in this transformative journey.
Introduction:-
The EOI 2.0 under DDU-GKY in Rajasthan focuses on mobilizing and skilling rural youth aged 15–35 years, especially from marginalized and underprivileged backgrounds. The program integrates skill training with placement support, aiming to bridge the gap between demand and supply in various sectors.
RSLDC, as the nodal agency, is seeking qualified Training Partners who can deliver quality training with measurable outcomes and place candidates in jobs with long-term career prospects.
Scope of Work:-
The EOI 2.0 clearly outlines the responsibilities for selected Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), which include:
- Mobilizing eligible rural youth from identified districts.
- Conducting training aligned with National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
- Ensuring minimum 70% placement in wage employment post-training.
- Providing post-placement support to ensure job retention and career progression.
- Leveraging technology-based monitoring systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
Training is to be imparted in residential and non-residential formats, based on the project’s location and target group needs.
