Background: A Mission for Inclusive Growth-
The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) is a flagship initiative under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, dedicated to transforming rural youth into skilled professionals. With its strong focus on the poor, marginalized, and socially disadvantaged segments of society, DDU-GKY is an integral component of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).
Karnataka, through the Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (KSRLPS), is taking robust strides to implement this mission. The recent Expression of Interest (EOI) dated 6th June 2025 calls upon Project Implementation Agencies (PIAs) to become partners in delivering high-impact skill development and placement programs for rural youth across the state.
