What Is DDU-GKY 2.0?
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) is a flagship rural skilling initiative by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. It aims to empower rural youth by providing job-oriented skill training. Now in its 2.0 version, the program is expanding its reach and refining its focus—and Assam is leading the way.
Who Can Apply?
To become a Project Implementation Agency (PIA) under DDU-GKY 2.0 in Assam, your organization must:
Be registered under:
- Indian Trust Act / State Society Registration Act.
- Companies Act 2013 / LLP Act 2008.
- Self-Help Group federations (SHGs).
- DPIIT recognized startups.
- Be listed on the NITI Aayog Darpan Portal.
- Have 3+ years of operational experience (unless you’re a startup!).
Types of Eligible Organizations:-
ASRLM recognizes four types of eligible applicants:
- Captive Employers – Companies hiring their own trained candidates
- Existing PIAs – Must have a minimum 50% placement success rate under DDU-GKY
- New Skilling Agencies – With no prior experience in the scheme
- Startups – Recognized by DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry
How to Apply for DDU-GKY 2.0 in Assam:-
- Get a PRN (Permanent Registration Number) from MoRD
- Visit the official portal
- Pay a ₹25,000 screening fee
- If shortlisted, pay the Quality Appraisal Fee – ₹1,25,000 + GST
