Empowering Rural Youth in Madhya Pradesh: Opportunities Under DDU-GKY 2.0
Madhya Pradesh, known for its rich cultural heritage and tribal diversity, is now making waves in rural development. A new wave of opportunity is on the horizon for its rural youth through the launch of DDU-GKY 2.0, a flagship skilling initiative by the Government of India. Spearheaded in the state by the M.P. DAY State Rural Livelihood Mission (MP-DAY-SRLM) under the Panchayat & Rural Development Department, this transformative program is opening doors for thousands of young individuals to access skill-based training and employment.
If you’re a Project Implementation Agency (PIA) or a Captive Employer, this is your chance to contribute meaningfully to rural empowerment while participating in a national mission.
What is DDU-GKY 2.0?
The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0 is an evolved and more targeted version of the earlier DDU-GKY initiative. It bridges the critical gap between vocational training and real job placements by aligning skill development programs with industry requirements. This ensures that rural youth are not just trained, but also employable in today’s competitive market.
Key Objectives of the DDU-GKY 2.0 EoI in Madhya Pradesh
As part of the Expression of Interest (EoI) for FY 2025-26, the MP-DAY-SRLM invites eligible agencies to submit proposals to train 4,278 candidates, including 1,000 under captive employment projects.
